If you are looking to identify which documents in the Power of Sale or Foreclosure process you have received, you can compare your documents with the example documents on this page. The documents on this page are real examples of Ontario Power of Sale and Foreclosure documents. All names, addresses, and contact information have been removed and highlighted in orange. In addition, all unique identification codes and numbers have been replaced with a generic number code. I.e., 12-123456.
The Power of Sale and Foreclosure processes share many of the same documents. However, the Statement of Claim document must state if the legal action is a Power of Sale or Foreclosure on the first page. Also, keep in mind that some documents have slightly different titles, for example, “Notice of Possession” and “Notice Demanding Possession” are both acceptable titles for a Notice of Possession document.
